Alfreton's Tinny Man (Alfreton's Can Man) aka Mr John Parker. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=10704041431. John has an huge following on the internet especially in Facebook and also U-Tube. His inspiration, "Don't give a damn - I will choose the life for me" attitude has won the respect and admiration of hundreds of people in the Alfreton area. His facebook group (which he is not a member of) has over 1,000 people subscribed.

we have all seen robin and his brother denis (now sadly deceased) in alfreton . Robins catchphrase is " Your a gentleman sir " and i often remember as a kid seeing him doing his impressions of mr dawes headmaster of mortimer wilson school with his glasses on the end of his nose. Robin is featured on the alfreton past in pictures dvds. he still is seein in alfreton popping into shops for a glass of water and a chat although nowdays its with the aid of a walking frame. Many people know Robin he has always i believed attended the local church. And he enjoys nothing more than a chat and a smile. please add any stories or information you have to ROBIN of ALFRETON.
