History - Broadmeadows extends over the the two parish boundaries of Pinxton and South Normanton in the District of Bolsover Council. The name "Broadmeadows" was devised as a result of a local competition.

Originally, the design of the estate was to incorporate a school, but this plan did not come to fruition and instead a public house was built (The Boundary Pub, Lea Vale, Broadmeadows).

In the centre of the estate is a cricket pitch used by local teams and two football pitches too.

The Boundary Park area is used by many local dog walkers and children too. There is a small enclosed area for young children, which features swings and slides etc and another enclosed area for older children to play ball games like 5 a side. Towards the rear of the Boundary Pub is a wooded area.

The Boundary pub and hotel is situated next to a small commercial development of approximately 5 retail units and a few offices.
